Lots of fantastic weather this July so we've been making the most of it!

An outdoor cinema came to Okehampton and they were playing the Greatest Showman which despite the hype, we'd managed to miss (probably busy moving!) It was a stunning summer evening so armed with a picnic and bottle of wine we descended on the park with lots of others - what a great evening and the film wasn't bad either.

Dart and I spent a wonderful early morning in Bude on Summerleaze Beach, which is dog friendly until 10am. We met with my friend Molly and her two huge Labradoodles who were happy to show Dart the ropes! Molly and I have known one another for probably nearly 25 years (goodness) - a friend from my St Albans days. She moved down to Bude some years back and we've managed to stay in touch. Hopefully more doggy beach walks to come, especially once we land in Cornwall :)

We had been hoping to exchange contracts on our house on a particular Friday - it didn't quite happen, but since I'd got to my Slimming World target weight a few days before and Andy had an encouraging job interview, but we went out to celebrate anyway! The 2 Rivers restaurant in Okehampton didn't disappoint, we both had lush steak dinners (local meat) and then went for a few more drinks at one of our favourite pups in town, the Plume of Feathers. Usually live music on a Friday night, lots of fun!

Climbing a couple of Tors has been on our list of things to do so we loaded ourselves up with water and lunch and set off for a nice big walk. From our front door we made it over Higher Tor and Belstone Tor, took in a brief detour to the Tors Inn before circling back home. Super hot day but we all loved it.
