3rd March

We and the rest of the world ventured down to Okehampton, to see Anne-Marie and buy some logs for our burner & other supplies. Everyone is out in their wellies and there's a real sense of community spirit. Loved our first open fire, super cosy!

5th March

Lovely deliveries today - a huge bunch of my favourite flowers, alstroemeira, and a bottle of prosecco from Mum and Dad, a bottle of red wine from Miriam and Tom plus lots of new home cards. Lucky Angell’s, and quite relieved that post and deliveries do actually make it to our slightly remote cottage!

The snow started melting today resulting in two separate incidents of the barn nearly flooding. Good detective work from Andy found the blockages in both cases and the crisis was averted, but not before a bit of panic and drama!

I’d seen an advert for some border collie puppies at a farm not too far away so I got in touch with the lady to see if she had any left…….Andy thinks it’s a bit soon, but agrees they are proper cute!
