How is it nearly May already??

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post, so what's been going on?

We had a nice day out on the Devon coast in Exmouth. Dart loves digging in the sand and meeting other dogs and people! Not so keen on the sea yet ;)

I lost half a stone so far following Slimming World, next weigh in tomorrow. I'm going to start helping out on the social team too which will help getting to know folk. Enjoying lots of tasty food which is the great thing about SW. Missing my usual vast quantities of wine though!

Absolutely loved the few sunny days that came our way so we were out and about as much as possible.

Here we are up on the moor - Dart looks massive!

We spent a glorious sunny Saturday beach hopping on the North Coast, and over the weekend also started looking at some houses to buy.

Can't really decide whether we want to stay near where we are, which is super central, we can get to the coast in less than an hour any direction and it's easy for people to visit - or get something much closer to the coast...... Never mind the property/plot itself, which we want to be able to deliver some sort of income potential too. This is not an easy process!!

As National Trust members and there's lots to see and do in the area. We wanted to look at a house right near Lydford Gorge. The house was no good for us, but Lydford itself is lovely, and we wandered down to see the Whitelady waterfall. Dart was full of beans, by way of a change, and slipped off a rock in to the water much to our amusement. He was quite put out at our laughter! Need to return to see the Devil's Cauldren.

I want to get out a bit more and meet some people so I've started some voluntary work at the Devon Air Ambulance Trust charity shop. So far so good, everyone seems friendly. It's a service that's absolutely vital where we live, so it's great to be contributing even in a small way. There's a whole lot more to working in a charity shop than I realised!

Dart started obedience classes. He was a little bored by the obedience work, but loved playing with other puppies. I kept getting told off for doing things wrong - not so easy this dog training business, especially with a live wire like young Dart.

Andy got the news that he will be changing account soon at work, a pity because we've been enjoying him being at home most of the time and only heading back to London for a day once every week or two. The change could mean a role anywhere, so a bit of uncertainty for us for a while. Might be time for us to start looking for something for Andy in Devon or Cornwall now we're here - watch this space!

Finally today, here's some recent pics of our furry pest for dog-lovers to enjoy :)
