I forgot to mention before that we now have another car - very conventional for us, an estate car!
It's ideal for all the touring we're doing around Devon and Cornwall and plenty of space for luggage, shopping and the mutt. I sound fabulously middle aged ;)
So yesterday Dart and I went to sniff out a local reservoir, it features on the brown signs as you come off the A30 to Okehampton so thought it was worth a look.
Meldon Reservoir turned out to be very pretty, and a mecca for spotting baby animals and other interesting things.

We met some ponies, one had a foal in tow - very sweet. Dart was on lead, but was still a star - didn't bark or try to get too close.

We walked past a very large animal bone of some sort - answers on a postcard please!

Also met these ones - the small paler coloured one is extremely odd looking, almost like a pig rather than a pony! Anyone seen anything quite like that before?!

We also saw lambs and calves too, spring has definitely arrived :)
