Weighty issue

So it seems that a couple of members of Team Angell have been putting on weight.....

In Dart's case, going from 4.7 kg at his first vet appointment on 16th March to now weighing in at over 8 kg, it's all good and as it should be. I will spare you the details of my weight gain, but it is not as it should be ;)

Those who know me will be well aware that I have an ongoing battle with the podge, due to a great love of food and wine. The last couple of years, I've been a bit heavier than I should be, but have more or less kept it in check. That was thanks to a busy and active job at the pub, regular jazzercise classes, a bit of running (plodding to be fair) and more recently some fabulous circuit training with Trinity Personal Training in Wigginton.

Since the move I'm doing nothing other than walking Dart, plus eating and drinking whatever I like, and consequently become a bit round. So on Wednesday I joined a local slimming world class. It's a diet I've followed a number of times before, and it does work for me if I stick to it! I like it because there's lots of unlimited food so no need to be hungry. And you can still enjoy a bit of what you fancy too ;) Also hoping it might be a chance to meet some new buddies in Okehampton.

And now I've told you I'm doing it and can bore you with progress, hopefully it will keep me motivated!

In Dart's little world, he and I have had a couple of trips to Simmons Park in Okehampton, so great for his socialisation. He's also had a walk around town, a big change for a countryside pup!

Dog about town

He's also getting braver meeting the ponies on the farm :)
